Cedar Point

Yesterday, we got back from our five-week long trip to Indiana visiting my husband’s family.  We had a wonderful time.  One of the highlights was going to Cedar Point, a huge amusement park, with Matthew’s sister and her husband.

Disclaimer:  I didn’t take the following pictures.  I found them online.

Here is a general view of the center of the park.

The first ride that we rode is called the Raptor.  It is one of the more medium-sized rides there.  My sister-in-law and I wanted to start with this before moving on to bigger ones.

Next, we rode the Mantis.  This one was cool because you are standing up for the whole ride.  I liked it because you can kind of brace yourself with your feet when going down those scary hills.

Then, we decided we were warmed up enough to go on some big ones.  So we went on the Millennium Force.  This coaster is 310 feet tall at its highest point and goes up to 93 mph.

Then, we decided to go all out and ride the biggest one there, the Top Thrill Dragster!  This ride is 420 feet tall and goes 120 mph!  It goes so fast that you aren’t allowed to wear glasses on it because they will fly off.  I was terrified.

If you click on the link below, you can see more photos and a couple of videos of the ride.

Then, the last ride we went on was the Wicked Twister.

After all this, we decided to go somewhere calm and relaxing.  So we visited Marblehead lighthouse on Lake Eerie.  It was beautiful.

So we are home for four days before we load up all of our stuff and move to LA!  We are very excited.  Please pray for us to find an apartment and to have safety on our way down there.  I will be posting again once we get settled.

  1. No thanks, girl! You can have those roller coasters lol. Looks like you had fun though, so that’s good. See you at church this weekend!

  2. Glad you had a great time! But, oh my! The pictures of the rides makes me sick, as I have been having a very bad bout of vertigo last night and today! Ugh!!
